I came to a point in my life where I wanted to explore sexuality, and find out about my own sexuality. Dancing is the perfect avenue to explore this. Dancing has helped me to understand, and become more open about my own sexuality. It has also enabled me to teach, and help others to be more comfortable with theirs.

My first time on stage was really scary. The place where I danced was considered a tease stage. There were cups along the stage, and the customers were not allowed near you. They just tipped the cups. This was only if they liked what you were doing. I was also allowed to bring a motorcycle on to the stage.  It was very, very fashionable.

I remember looking out at all of those men, and freezing, and thinking, “Oh my god, I can’t do this!” The woman that taught me a lot about dancing said to me,  “Just find something that you can focus on, somewhere that you can go.  You can do this!”  For a long time I went on stage and pictured them all in boxer shorts. That made me giggle. Which in turn helped to relax me so I could dance. After a while when I started getting in touch with my sexuality, I was able to go to a place where I was very personable.
